SIG:AR:TYR Obtain Release From KARMAGEDDON MEDIA

October 3, 2005

Mainman Daemonskald of the Canadian "Viking metal" one-man band SIG:AR:TYR has posted the following message on the project's web site:

"I have asked for, and obtained my release from Karmageddon. This is both bad and good news, as Karmageddon would have provided a good distribution for the release. Unfortunately, the CD has been delayed for a very long time and I don't think the company is in a position to release it due to their various problems, so we agreed to part ways.

"So the good news is in the interest of trying to move forward, I will be working towards finally getting 'Sailing The Seas Of Fate' released via other channels more aligned and dedicated to the essence of SIG:AR:TYR. More news to come soon."

SIG:AR:TYR originally signed with Karmageddon in 2004 on the strength of the all-acoustic 2003 demo release, "The Stranger".

Described as "Viking metal with acoustic atmosphere," SIG:AR:TYR's debut full-length release, "Sailing The Seas Of Fate", tells the story of a Viking-age quest to the far northern reaches of the world to retrieve an object to turn the tide of Christianity.

The track "Skuld" from the new CD can be heard at www.myspace.com/sigartyr.
